Crib bedding
Couple of shots of the crib bedding we got. We combined the bedskirt (can't see very well in the pics because the mattress is set high) and crib sheet of the farm animal set with the quilt from the Patchwork Stars set - all from Pottery Barn Kids. We didn't buy a bumper because we would only use it for a couple of months anyway and though the quilt would be more handy.

29 weeks!

I hit 29 weeks this past weekend! We are getting really excited to meet baby Jackson. We have been working on the nursery (pics below) though there is still plenty to be done.

Also, we painted the bookcases in the living room which turned out really well. It was Del's idea to paint them red and, though I was a little hesitant at first, they turned out great!

Katie and Kris came to visit us on stop#1 of their Roadtrip through Americana. We were happy to provide them with an entire museum dedicated to one of the most iconic of American food- SPAM! Austin, MN is home to Hormel, the company that makes Spam and provides us with 1/2 of our monthly income (thanks to Jennie-O).

Del and I trying on Hormel gear...

Katie and I with the Spam can mascot.

I think it's a nice look.... They had an entire Halloween costume that I'm considering :)
In other news, we obtained a new table and got rid of mine from graduate school. We love it! It expands to fit at least 8-10 people (and was free!)

And in other exciting news....I have the beginnings of a bump. Actually right now it really is just from all of the horrible food that the baby is making me eat (right..) Pay attention-- this is what happens when you eat fried mozarella sticks, cheese curds, nachos and peanut butter sandwiches for 2 months:)

I made a new commitment today to eat healthy food no matter how much is makes me gag!

Summer Things...
Cooper baby shower with "Jaundiced Babycakes" courtesy of Amy, wife of another resident.

New patio courtesy of my sweet husband!!

New flowers continue to pop up all around my house. The lady who lived here prior to us was quite the gardener! I love these lilies at the bottom in particular- they go well with all the UT paraphernalia that continues to appear around the house ;)

Beach, etc.
....This post has been waiting to be published for over a month. Sorry!.....
Del and I were lucky enough to go on the most amazing trip to the beach in May. We joined the Bergeron's and Anju at a house on the beach in Isle of Palms, SC, just outside Charleston. We spent our days playing on the beach and our nights eating fabulous Southern food, including some awesome seafood. If anyone is planning a trip there in the near future, contact me and I will give you a list of some great restaurants to try.
I was so glad to get to spend time with my girls, Jaclyn and Anju. I miss hanging out with them so much and can't wait for Bergeron-Harris-Singhal Extravaganza #2 coming in 2012!
We went kayaking one day at the Middleton Place plantation. We paddled down the Ashley River and through an old rice plantation. It was gorgeous!

We returned there later in the week for a wine tasting event. It was so relaxing to stroll around the gardens and try different wines. We all took the opportunity to do "senior pictures"

Del and I are already tired of being so far away from the beach....
My mom came and visited on Memorial Day weekend which was so fun! We ate at City Cafe, ran errands, went to the Farmer's Market, sat in my yard enjoying the beautiful weather, grilled out and at at Nosh in Lake City. It was a good time and I already miss her!
On Memorial Day, Del and I drove up to Duluth, MN to visit as we had never seen Lake Superior and heard great things about it. We walked around the city for awhile but unfortunately my camera battery died within about 2 minutes.
We drove on up the North Shore to Gooseberry Falls Park which is gorgeous! The falls are 3-tiered and from the top you have a view of Lake Superior, which looks like the ocean. We then walked out to the lakeshore which was even more breathtaking. There are big rocks everywhere on a beach that consisted mainly of small rocks. Where there is no beach, there are cliffs going straight down into the lake with pine trees lining them. We are already planning a trip to back! We ate at the Grand Superior Lodge on the way back- they are on the lakeshore and have some great looking cabins. That may be our 2011 getaway!
I'm on hospital service for the last month of my intern year which is less than optimal but I will survive it! I'm already tired and I am only one call in. But these are the things we go through in order to enjoy life later I suppose :)
Miss y'all!
