what?
Yes, I know what you're thinking. "Malinda, you don't like cold weather," "Malinda, do you know that's exercise?" and "Malinda, are you crazy? You have to go up hill on those things!"
I did realize those things. But, like it or not, I am going to be living here in Minnesota for a few years, so I better do as the natives do.

Actually, it was a lot of fun! You couldn't in any way tell that I used to be pretty ok at downhill skiing. I must have fallen 1o times on absolutely flat ground and once while attempting to go uphill. Funny story- attempting to walk uphill only to have both skis slide backward out from under you and landing face first in snow...not so fun...
Del was a natural. He did great until he attempted to ski down this hill at the end and fell 3 times on the way down. The funny thing about cross country skis is that your heel is not hooked in (only the toes) and so steering is slightly difficult :)
Side note: TC also had some winter time fun yesterday. Del took him out for his first trip into snow while I was still at work (cause he knew the level of anxiety I would have about this). He loved the packed snow- not such a fan of the deep snow.

How funny. I tried cross country skiing once (I don't even know how to regular snow ski) and it was horribly hard. I was okay going down hill, but found it almost impossible to get up the hill! It's REALLY good work out though.
